Blog Entry #2

The National Football League has made many rule changes in the past few years. These rule changes have been made in order to "protect" the players. Do these rule changes not take away from the traditional game of football?

Which rules have been changed?

How do rule changes protect players from injury?

What are the benefits of enforcing new rules?

What is given to/taken away from the game by changing rules?

What major injuries have occurred to cause a change in rules?

Are former players still suffering from injuries today?

What lawsuits have been taken up towards the NFL?

This topic is a very important to me because I have always loved and respected the game of football. I believe that football should be played the way it always has been played. Every football fan, player, and coach cares about this topic. It affects all players and coaches because football is their job.

  1. Good list of questions. Your own view of the topic is very clear from your word choice in your first paragraph here. It's great that you've chosen a topic that you feel passionate about, but I'm glad that your questions include some that relate to the opposing view, too. You might also ask how much will these changes affect the way the game is played? Will audiences notice these changes in a typical game?
